system worked beautifully for 18 months, then yesterday while watching a movie on the computer, it suddenly freezes (no blue screen this time,bt I get what you get: fans spin, MB pilot light is on, no POST, no beeps, no video signal, even my keyboard lights stay dark * +

Mite need a clean up inside? Is there a lot of dust in there? 18 months can gather a lot of dirt, take the case off the tower and have a clean, especialy round the fans and the conection wires, I use the nozle on my hoover with about 3 inch space between so not to bash anything up. * +

turn the monitor on wait for no signal and then turn on the pc. if the monitor imediatly goes to satndby as soon as you press the power button on the pc the cpu is faulting or dead. * +
