If i were to open a virus/worm/etc from a webpage I.E. The source code and i alter the name like ''JAVA'' (name of worm) to ''FIJI'' (new name for ''JAVA''). . . Would it still work?? * +

Nope i didnt mean CLICKED the link.. But editin the webpage (worm only). Basically i would have an old worm under a new name? Or changin the name would that make it harmless?? * +

if you open the source code from notepad or such or access in text only format than it wont infect you,viruses/malware usually uses security vulnarbilities to execute on your system.those are the features of your system/browser like javascript,FLASH,JAVA... infact i can understand why you need flash or javascript but java is a bit too much especially for browsing the web,i dont have java on my sys * +

y running java on windows?first of all,java programs are slower in potential,c executes much faster because that is a native windows programming language,not java.also,it is now modern to create applications using the .net framework,thats not real programming when someone other does the job for you.those all extra features make your system BLOATED more and more and expose you to security risks. * +

javascript as well is too powerfull,flash too,the features should only be limited to entertainment,drawing stuff on screen and top,reading keyboard events,anything else carries a risk from viruses.web pages are getting more complicated every day and more advanced,you re doomed if you use something like ie to browse net (as it has no control on restricting content efficiently).my point is that you * +

that you can open any web page even the most dangerous code,if your system doesnt have the means to read it,its useless and you can get on with your life like nothing have happened *
