hi, im using acer aspire x1700 desktop pc. the default specs is, 350gb HDD, (seagate) Q800 2.3ghz quad intel cpu, running on windows vista. Later on, i change the OS to windows 7 and upgraded the RAM to 4gb (800mhz) everything is running smoothly, until i upgraded its harddrive to 500GB (WD caviar blue WD500AAKS). now im having trouble transfering huge multiple files from other media storage, like SD card or external harddrive... first, my network adapter stops working and desktop freezes.. or *

how often does it freeze? my 1st thoughts are towards the memory you installed *

Yap that will be the coz 4rm blabla try 2 format that new 500gb and change the file system when formating eg.FAT32 TO Fat or FAT32 TO fat if completes now try 2 transfer ur files/but if it fails 2 format there might be a problem in that hard disk or virus in ur comp *

i just bought a new 2gb 800mhz ram and it doesnt resolve the problem. yeah, i guest thers something wrong with the harddisk. works perfectly on 2 gb, but 2 gb isnt enough for my tasks. i run graphic intensive programs *
