I got this IBM Netvista 6823 MAU desktop, with 2ghz Intel Celeron, max BUS speed is 400mhz and L2 Cache max is 256KB. I got those info on the offisial site. Now i want to ask, is there a 2.5ghz celeron or P4 that have 400mhz bus speed and 256KB l2 cache? * +

compatability depends on the motherboard, not the existing CPU. You need to find out what board it is and what it supports * +

They say it suports till 2.2ghz but i think thats the max suport ghz at that time. Wouldt the motherboard support 2.5ghz with no problem? * +

if it says it only supports 2.2ghz than without further bios updates thats all you are gonna get. it should specify the processor if it says the speed. chances are the best it can do is a 2.2 P4 which is a minor upgrade to the celeron already in it and not worth pursuing * +

Ive been researching a lil found these celeron SL6VV with 2.6ghz 400mhz bus and 128kb l2 cache. They are kinda old. i realy think that old ibm can accept it. * +
