thinking a motherboard will take a cpu doesnt make it so. as spartan says its down to the bios and socket type. * +

if cpu-z dosent identify it then you need to cold boot the pc and enter bios, all relivant info about the motherboard should be there ... * +

ibm's often wont let you enter bios from a warm boot/system reset.... (a warm boot is entering windows and selecting restart or pressing reset 1s the o.s. has loaded) * +

its an intel i845 motherboard. ive found some ppl managed to put 2.8ghz p4 in them with latest bios updates * +

as i say they put max suport 2.2ghz in the manual cuz at that time they where no faster cpus make YET :) *
