whats the full brand name, what catigory is it in, what version of windows 7 is it? * +

try the makers site and locate the driver for it, download it then uninstall the one you have and install the new one, might just be a software failure rather than hardware * +

why do i ask ? because there is about 50 different versions of the g61, theres the g61-100 series containg about 10 models, the g61-200 which contains about 25 models and the g61-300 which contains about 25 models. so pleas be more accurate, the model number is on the bottom of the laptop. * +
