yes and no there are viruses out there for mac/apple etc but they are so rare its not worth the effort paying for an ant-virus * +

At first charge battery states I have 5.47 hours remaining, it is supposed to give 10 hours off-charge. Is this because its new, so once battery becomes optimised the capacity will increase to closer to their stated 10 hours. * +

that depends, thats in optimal conditions rarely do specifications match real world conditions. * +

apple says alot of things. But generally Mac can be considered the same with Unix / Linux. Biggest threats would be executable trojans and malicious shell scripts that require user to launch or run them (hidden or not.) pirated iWork caused a nice ruckus last year was it? A major mac botnet was involved iirc. So pirating stuff has similar risks to windows, but drive-by malware shouldn't be that much of a prob. * +

yep it is a bit of a misnoma that macs dont get viruses. genraly they are more secure but the more apps that go multiplatform with windows the more infections will apear. * +

Keep using common sense and you'll be fine. 
I still wouldn't let my guard down just because i'm using a 'more secure' system. * +
