Im experimenting with PUPPY (LINUX). I installed a higher SdRam now my pc wont start. The power supply works. Any advice please Tx * +

take the RAM out and try. Obviously it should come on, than put it back and try. If it still doesn't come on, take your older RAM out and leave the one you've installed. Than try. If that doesn't work, put your old RAM back and take the one you've installed and throw it the garbage. * +

take out the new stuff and reboot, see if that works. now look at the ram speed and latencey what is it, old and new. * +

Oh yeah I forgot about the frequency. Check both RAM's frequency's or speed. The MHZ. But test the new and old RAM's alone and see if both works. * +

What you mean it wont start? Does it switch on by having power or just a blank screen? open the box and see if the cpu fan r turning? If its just black screen no beeps nothing its the cpu * +

not correct. that can denote a dead motherboard 2. there is only 1 test for a dead cpu, and thats the monitor standby test. it will tell you if the cpu is dead or not seated correctly. the blank screen, no beeps, fan spinning is often attributed to a loose wire/connection or a cracked motherboard. there is so many reasons for the guys problem because he was so vague in his question. * +
