this is one area where nokia sucks.They don't allow automatic access to the modem hence you must use special software like Nokia PC suite.In your case try installing Gnokii. http://gnokii.org * +

No. U can connect using mobile as a modem without pc suite. I havnt used ubuntu 9.10. But at my ubuntu 10.04 i just connect the phone with data cable and it autometically detects it. * +

Lol in unbntu you dont need pc suite to use it as modem. You just need to set the access point in the internet settings. And done.. On the home screen you can see at the top right of the screen theirs network icon click on it. * +
