connected my laptop to tv with hdmi cable and watching movie with windows media player but no sound coming from tv. How do i get sound please? *

you might need to switch audio devices to hdmi output . but it should do it as default when hdmi cable is plugged in *

not all hdmi come with audio on pc's and laptops. some need audio leads. eapecialy when they come form a computer as gfx adapters tend not to carry audio unless there realy high spec lappys. devices like blue ray players its not a problem as the audio is often sent with the video. but cheaper laptops may need seperate leads like i said earlyer. *

or it could be as simple as the hdmi audio device wasnt selected when the cable was plugged in and needs to be manually set .. *
