hey guys i was doin a cpu upgrade on my gf's pc, when i removed the heatsink the cpu pull rite out of the socket, now the pc just stars for few seconds then goes of, have i damaged the socket or the cpu cheers * +

remove the cpu and try the old 1 and see if it does the same. while your doing that check the cpu pins to see if you bent any. * +

did you use new thermal paste? did yo clean all the old off?. * +

yea sum of the pins wer bent bt i tried to straitn the best i cud, and yes i cleaned all old paste of and put new paste on * +

the old cpu wont work either, it had few bent pins too, maybe the mobo is bent now * +

what will happen if we dont put thermal paste??? i dont have put on mine when removed the fan... will it fk it up?? lol * +
