It was not so long ago when intel was playing catch up to AMD . Does anybody remember the intel cpu recall ? Thats why I buy AMD they wont sell you a something they know is bad . * +

amd could still have been a worthy competitor but they squandered there own lead by not pushing development. it was a stroke of genius to put a memcontroler on chip at the time and thats what got them the lead but on the whole there arcitecture was always weaker on the clacs per cycle performance. * +

I think amd isnt in a relly bad position. Making affordable pcs that is speedy enough for most tasks. You get price per performance. why pay a arm and a leg *
