sounds like and most prob is hard drive failure, esp with the age of the machine... * +

what o.s. is it, how big is the drive and how old is it? do you know if its a scsi or ide interface?, if its scsi you are gonna have a problem finding another drive if you need to replace it. if its an ide drive your still gonna have problems as the age of the machine means it may not accept newer larger capasity drives. * +

Check ur data n power cables for the hard drive 1st. Sumtyms says'insert system disk and press enter' wen the bios is messd up. So check if it can boot from a cd. * +
