How often do you format you pc? My mates do it quite often and they are gamer's. I hardly do but feel its time just to start a fresh..? ! * +

Gamers often reformat because of registry errors and bad computer management settings . And don't forget all the malware they get from pirated software . * +

Reformatting is not really needed if you don't fail at computers, but it isn't always in your hands as mok214 said too. A fair amount of legit games have given me a handful of problems in the past including but not limited to starforce, securom etc. And some badly done software can easily cause some problems for you. Still only dumb noobs need to reformat that often due to problems. I'd go as far as to say EVER * +

but still you have no idea whats caused the problem so all your doing is rolling back to an earlyer date. this is just putting a plaster on an open cut. best figure out what is causeing the problems so you dont keep getting them. * +
