depending on the screen size its either gonna be expencive or very expencive. in real terms it would be cheaper to buy a new lappy. if its a 300-350pounds job. * +

screen for mine on ebay is 70 pounds then the cost of fitting it if your not to sure about doing it yourself then there's repairing the jack on the board, so as jay said be best just to get a new one * +

well on Thursday i fixed the screen on my mate's dell, he paid 70 for the screen on ebay and i charged him 20 quid. so 90 quid all in on a 500 quid laptop, worth a fix if it's just a cracked screen and his was only 70 cos it was new, you can get used ones cheaper and they're just as good. the job is easy enough n all. * +

The screens can often be had cheaply . It is the labor charges that will cost you big money . Learning how to do that is not cheap . * +

mine charges per cost of the job. 30 quid screen,hdd,ram, complete builds he charges around 10 percent of the actual build price.50 for under 500, 100 for under 1000, 200 for 1000+ so he's quite reasonable. but repairs is where the money is. 30 mins to swap out a screen fair enough. but soldering a new power charger connector will cost 50-100 as he will have to dismantle the entire lappy to do it * +
