Woke up couple of days ago and pc was sitting turned off so i tried to turn it on but it just makes a loud noise from the fan going 100 the monitor just stays in stand by and thier are no beeps. What has happened? Tried a new power supply * +

Tried it.. Still nothing even swapped ram chips about and the same.. what else could it be? * +

turn the monitor on and wait for the no signal message. wait for it to go into satndby mode. how long did it take?... now turn the monitor back on and turn the pc on, if the monitor jumps into standby straight away without the ususal delay b4 it normaly would then your cpu is dead. * +

which fan is spinning up to 100? the cpu fan or the gfx fan? if its the cpu fan it means the cpu has jumped to max temp due to eithera loose heatsync or a short. * +

It sounds like your cpu fan is not starting up. Had the same problem once found a mouse hanging from my cpu fan lol. After i killed it and removed it i had a lovely supper and my pc was working again
