well jay.mack u have the right concept. I have win 7 x64 on my asus G72. freshly install with drivers n it jus a little over 1gig usage of mem. my roomate has a msi gt725. he installed win 7 ulitmate along with drivers n overclock utilty n bitdefender its 960MB mem usage. * +

what I have learned is that. 64 bit uses 64 bit addressing it give a lil spped boost. as it can read n write 64bit of date at once compared to 32bit. 32bit OS kinda limits the potential of modern 64bit hardware. using adobe premier n such programs you will get a performance increase using 64bit. *
