I just got this netbook and i want to create a recovery dvd but dont have an external optical drive. however the provided manual suggests that i can even recover the system from a recovery partition instead!! so do i NEED TO CREATE any such partition is it hidden within? * +

coz this netbook has 320GB hdd but when checkin it from MY COMPUTER, there is only one partition i.e., C: with 289 GB.. so is the remaining 31 GB the hidden recovery partition???

2x2=4x2=8x2=16x2=32x2=64x2=128x2=256x2=512x2=1024/1GBx2=2048/2GB So do your calculations and you'll find out if there's any hidden partition which in your case I doubt. * +

Click on my computer on the start button, does it only have a c drive there or is there anything else? * +

Computer manager, Disk management, there you'll see all partitions. Even those hidden or without Drive letter. * +
