I want to install 1 of these Linux dostros but im unsure of which will suit me better. Its Fedora13 and Ubuntu 10.4. Im running Win7, so Im looking for sumthing that wont be too foreign to use and navigate. Can anyone help? * +

PROTIP: all basic desktop linux distros are the same on the outside. What you see is GNOME, XFCE, KDE or something else. The differences are internal and how certain things are done on the development side. Also ubuntu is going off the track since 10.04 and Linux scene is quickly abandoning it. * +

Fedora is based on red hat and ubuntu is based on debian. Both which are prominent core distros. I recommend just testing them out with the live CD or actually installing and running for a few days. The most noticeable difference would be the package management system and the amounts of packages readily available. Fdr uses RPM and Ubnt uses DEB. * +
