Try to connect the internet with i wifi router if your friend dont have one just steal it or buy it. Lol. Was kiddin about stealing. Lol. A wifi modem router is that what you guys need. * +

what do u mean by lan cable? If its a cross over cable, connect both lappys, disable firewall, in network and sharing centre allow internet connection. now u can browse internet in both lappys. adjust ur ip addys in same range before connecting. Its so simple to do. no need for wifi. * +
