hi there. my laptop has been infected with a fake antivirus program called defense centre that wants to to purchase its software. it has put desktop icon of p*rn sites on my desktop. i did a scan with malware bytes and after evry scan it shows infections then it closes and wont let me delte them. am not sure now how to get rid of this. some suggestions please? ty for u help * +

malwarebytes should remover it but you may have to scann in safemode for it to work, else get stopzilla and try that. * +

i had the same prob months ago , i kept running malwarebytes and spybot it took a few goes but sorted it out in the end * +

hi guys i got rid of it. first i disabled the virus using rootkill( a software that stops the proccesses of a vrius but does not remove it) then i used malware bytes in SAFE MODE and it worked. i guess the virus had influene over malwarebytes unless safe mode was used. thnx for all your help * +
