another brain-fart from the geniouses of VideoLAN or intentional marketing trick? also VLC 1.1.0 is out. Just in case people don't follow, there is no such thing as MKV HD! It's a made up term. *

They are admitting VLC could barely play HD sized MKVs. And it appears that there were massive rewrites done to the code and now it has magical 40 percent increase in HD decoding/rendering quality. Wow, it's like they have finally caught up with 2007 *

In dev scene, VideoLAN is more appreciated for some of their other projects and individual components/solutions. Such as the x264 encoder. Additional warning: VLC 1.1.0 is not compatible with ShoutCast streaming. *
