I am having problem installing windows on my dell laptop. Actually i had installed Linux and the hard drive is formatted with ext3 when i tried to install windows it shows no hard disk found but Linux can detect. * +

R u trying to install win7 or xp. If you have live cd of linux format all the driver in ntfs it has those options . * +

Your disk your using dont have the correct sata drivers on it. You need the dell drivers because its the drivers that get loaded when windows cd starts up. at bottom of screen you will see. You get the drivers from dells site. The use vlite to intregrate them to windows make a image and put it on a disc. You dont tamper with windows you just intregrate them * +

delete all partitons. and create a new 1 format and install. * +
