i feel like a complete n00b ere not someone that been fiddlin wiv pc's for 12years,but anyway, gf's dell inspiron 9300 is really overdue a complete erase and re-doing. Dell aint helping AT ALL cos its outside its warranty. whats the best way to get hold of a Windows XP disc tht will work with her OEM license on the machine? * +

either there will be a partition set with the install ready on it. Or just use any xp disc whether its home or pro edition with the oem key on your machine. * +

yeah i tried the recovery partition, unfortunately i think her ex might have fkd tht up like he did her other one lol cos it cant locate the partition!! okey dokey,so its a case of obtaining an oem xp home disc, preferably dell just to be safe. oh joy lol * +

Too late for ordering an XP disk . Most pirate OEM's are for IBM machines and won't work for you . Not to mention the malware you would get . * +
