Select My computer Icon right click on it select properties and select Hardware and tell us what you see ? * +

I guess u probably formatted ur harddrive, if my guess is right then ur sound card driver is probably missing. To get it back try and google a program called UKD. exe (UKD is UnKnown Device) and download it. What it does is to determine the name of all ur missing drivers, which easier for u to find and download a compatible driver for ur hardware. It even displays the hardware driver's website. * +

Or just go to ur pc manufacturer website and download it, but not all these computer website have all the drivers 4 their computers uploaded, so u might not find what u need there! Downloading UKD.exe is a better option * +

probably be smart to check the basics before running off to install anything. check you havent accidentally muted the sound by hovering over the speaker icon in the bottom right of the taskbar assuming you have windows. Then think about drivers and headphone port connections * +
