I want to upgrade my gfx card n i got to choose between the msi 5770 hawk and an asus gtx 260. Which would be better for gaming on a 22inch lcd.. Currently runing a q9400 @ 3ghz, 4gb ddr2 800 ram, asus p5q se2 mobo, 8800gt gfx card... * +

Theyre both the same but i will go for a 5850 personally but 260 is a small tat faster but costs about 30 dollars more * +

You dont have to worry bout bottlenecking as you run a quad around 3 so that issue is illemenated * +

r u sure? the benches i see say the 5850 is at about a gtx275 wich is a bit faster than a gtx 260 * +

as a personal choice id go for the 260 due to its physx support.. as a 5770 dosent have enough kick to run dx11 propperly. * +

5770 i see usually comes out a tad cheaper than a GTX260. They are pretty close. Its a tough choice. I figure i would take the GTX260 for physx or the radeon for DX11, it cant do all DX11 features at once but you could probably have a few things. Personal preference for me = GTX260 although you pay for the heat and the power consumption. gotten used to nvidia's drivers and quirks now * +

Yeah the DX11 performance on my HD5770 is a joke. It's oc'd to 925mhz/1350mhz and I played Metro 2033 @ 1920x1080 on the High setting in DX10 mode with no hassle but when I switch to DX11 mode the game becomes unplayable. Other than that it's not a bad budget card but I agree with jay.mack that the GTX260 might be a better buy. * +
