hi mates,i'm not sure what the hell this is coz whenever i insert a cd in my cd drive a file name desktop.ini is waiting to be written to a cd and its type is configuration settings and size is 1kb.If i scan it using Kaspersky anti v 2010 it says no threats found and when i delete it,it comes back any idea what it is or how to get rid of it ?i'm using windows 7 H/B on an Acer aspire 5332.Plshelp * +

Its not a virus or anything to be worried about, it's a system file I can say. But they is a way you can disable it from not showing. Now here is what you do, go to my computer or just open any folder or windows explorer in short and then navigate to tools, click, then go to folder options. On folder options click view then down there under advanced settings you will see check boxes, go to 1 * +
