No its not 1 side gets wired orange 1st other side green 1st. Most network cards these days dont need a cross over cable *

What i meant was there is the straight thru cable and cross over cable, is the straight thru cable okey to connect two computers? *

A cross cable is made to connect two computers directly (without a hub). If you use a standard cable your network will be limited. File Sharing, Gaming etc wont be possible. *
