Avira's updates are not as large as other AV updates. With that connection you'll manage your updates. And yeah autorun is a worm but its a piece o krap. * +

double clicking may trigger autorun, though that should be disabled by default for flash/external drives because they aren't CD/DVD/BD-ROMs with executable content. Autorun is a security risk when you are using your USB in random places and even in a less random enviroment you don't need it really so just turn it off already. * +
