Hi everyone just wondering what you people got to oc your's to? I got my 2.8 E7400 to 3.92ghz safe at max temp at 46c is that safe? Thanks * +

with what cooling? E7400 is a good chip to overclock but most arent going to reach 4ghz stable without 1.45v, most likely more * +

i used to have the e6300, it was excellent for overclocking, now i've got the q6600, it's a fabulous little overclocker, it's 2.4ghz at stuck but it's sitting nicely at 3, i cool it with a zalman thing, i can't remember the name of it but it had '900' in it's name, i've pushed it to 4 but it cried it's eyes out so i pulled it back. 3.2 seems to be the most i can get out of it stable at stock volts * +

No at 4ghz it was crying didnt like 4.1ghz im useing a coolermaster some what its a huge heat sink just wondering iv allso got 2gb xms gaming ram 800mhz DDR2 * +

I seriously doubt that the maximum load temperature of any E7400 @ 3.92ghz stable is just 46 degrees, on air * +

i can't see it either, my q6600 hits 45 IDLE at STOCK but that's because we've moved house and the room where my computer lives is fking boiling, all the blow power in the world is useless if it's just moving hot air about. * +

My case has six fans two at the back of my case are blowing out what i done was turned my heat sink around with the fan on the heat sink faceing the two fans bolwing out as its helping the air flow on my cpu * +
