gimp can merge frames and separate images... mplayer can dump a gif from a video with a command or two. I don't really care but i see people do it all the time. Too bad people sometimes use bad configs and way too many frames. tiny loops are like 3MB when done without any real effort lol * +

i think u need to change video output driver to gif87 something if i remmember right,have never really used that option so idk * +

ill have a look at mplayer in a minute, got internet back so ill try and rectify the situation. also 33ms but didnt work. it plays smoothly in the preview window but when i open it with IE to view the saved .gif it still runs slow as hell
