its always best to use a primer if your spraying firectly on to metal.if your sprating on to a precoloured case then theres no real need to the spray should stick to the previousl layers if the surface is clean and keyed(very lightly sanded with very fine paper) be carefull though not all sprays are good for pc cases, use arilic waterbased 1s only as enamel 1s can react with the plastic... * +

saying that though if it was me i would use primer as a matter of course, without a second thought, as the colour will be richer and deeper, the last case i sprayed i used a yellow primer because the case was to be finished in red, the yellow neutralised the block under it and lifted the red, if i hadnt used the primer the red would have looked darker and flatter. * +

a tip* put the primer on in a couple of fine coats, let 1 dry for 2-3 hours (depending on instructions) after you apply the 2 coats let it sit for around 24 hours/next day then start with the next colour, the base coulour should just cover the primer and may be a little translucent if done propperly. now aply another 2 layers to bring the colour up then lacker lightly, remember its will give a * +

much nicer finish if you take yer time use fine layers than just plastering the whole can on in 1 go. * +
