my friends i want to repair my windows xp,so i want to knw if i do that repair will i loses my files,such as music,and others? *

a repair instal should nor loose any data if done correctly. a simple way to repair windows if it is still bootbale is go to the run box and type sfc/ scannow then follow the instructions. it will only work properly if you have the same service pack installed as the original disk. meaning it wont work if windows is already updated to sp3 but your install disk is sp2., so you many need to uninstall *

the sp... to make it compatable. failing that boot off the disk and select the repair previously instlled version of xp. follow the onscreen prompts, enter the key when required, finish and reboot. install any drivers needed and take ownership of the previous versions user folder. *
