just remember that if your using 32 bit windows your system wont recognise all of that 4gb of ram infact not much more than 3gb to be honest, regardless of what operating system your using. to take advantage of large amounts of ram you must install 64 bit windows. this would have to be a clean install though because you cannot upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit. * +

(but also be aware that although 64 bit is supposed to be backwards compatible with 32 bit it isnt, at least not with all programs anyway. this therefore restrict what programs you intend to download) * +
