I read an article on the net that's got me worried. I purchased a windows 7 home premium oem version and using it currently. They say its locked to the first pc its installed to, I'm fine with that. The thing is if I had to upgrade my pc motherboard and other components would the windows still work if I had to reinstall it * +

If its Oem Version their is no problem The new motherboard should be of same brand as of old one. * +

dosent matter what components you change, when you go to activate it it should pass as long as you havent gone over the install limit. even then you just use the phone activation, the first time you may be directed to m.s. customer service. just tell them you upgraded your pc. and they will issue you with a new validation, or use the automated validator. * +
