Hey all my friend is about to upgrade my windows 7 from home basic to ulitimate but i have to leave my lap top there, my question is how can i save my promgrams to a flash drive or an cd as i dont wanna loose it and i want a back up cd for my programms, thanks * +

win 7 has its own built in cd burning software that should work well enough, as for flash, you just open it and drag and drop the files you want to keep * +

the cd burner wont copy protected files that have things like secure rom. * +

you really should just install the programs fresh. only copying over configuration and setting files (gamesaves for games etc.) back up anything that is not tied down to the old system (music, regular files etc.) also do the windows install freshly too. Avoid the upgrade feature they offer. fresh start = good start *
