we have it so easy today , remember when overclocking was a nightmare . sometimes soldering bridges onto hardware etc . now days its a peace of pi*s any muppet can do it . * +

you think thats bad taktix. try rewriting an eprom and piggybacking it onto the flopy drives controler chip without damaging both... lols the atari 1050 disk drive had a capacity of 360KB when a doubler was used, meaning 10 games per disk... 10 games on a 360KB disk

then there was the drives mechanical whiring... it sounded like a jack hammer till you opend it and put lube on the sliders. but gone are the days when such things could be done by yer average enthusiast... gone are the days when you could write directly to the disk and change a games programming. cracking games to impliment cheats was much easyer then 2 * +

i started with win 95 and dos games. Doom 95 was the ish... then quake... atleast my ibm 486dx could plough thru those games. now my pc can barely play new stuff. ooh and i had a massive 512mb hard drive. wait till i upgraded from a 486dx to a pentium1 100mhz and 1gig hard drive. i was doing backflips and cartwheels i tell u * +
