Subject: Wrong HDD booting

Thank u to everyone who assisted me I was just about to give up and format using my xp disk when I opened up the tower I swoped the sockets on the motherboard around disconnected the faulty drive started windows when it switched on it started installing drivers for the new hdd then while on I connected the faulty drive and then went to device manager I scanned for hardware changes * +

It picked up the faulty hdd but it wasn't showing in my computer so I went back into device manager and saw a disable option so I disabled then it asked to reboot and then it booted with the new windows. I went in device manager and enabled the faulty drive and went to my computer and there it was * +
