I just purchased my windows 7 3days ago and it crashed due to a bad update by microsoft. I googled classpnp.sys and found that many people experienced this problem and its caused by ms. The only solutions I found envolved ubuntu, and replacing this file by using another pc. And I can't do both. * +

If I buy another hd do I simply just disconnect the old one connect the new one as master then reinstall widows? And then I was thinking connect the old one as slave then copy my files to new hd. format the old one to remove the windows then just copy my files back to it and use it for storage. * +

yes
set the jumpers so your new drive is master. Set the old drive to slave if your putting them on the same IDE cable * +
