I was using a trial windows 7 it runs fine on my system. I purchased home premium and installed yesterday. I installed format factory but for some reason its icon file comes up as a data file. Right after install it happens tried reinstalling but still same problem and I never had this problem with the trial * +

And also I notice a shield appeared on tuneup utilities, defraggler, revo uninstaller icons. What is the cause of that and can I disable it * +

format factory is windows 7 ultimate 32bit compatible,been using it on that o.s. and what sisfreak said and you can disable UAC (user account control).go to control panel-user accounts-change user account control settings.. and move the slider as lowest possible or if u use category view in control panel i think user accounts and familly safety-user accounts-user accounts control settings.. * +

I got that slider to the last because I downloas software from its original sites to avoid viruses so I don't need those warning popups but the sheild is still there. As for format factory it works fine just the icon aint working I cheched there is a later version will download and see if it works * +

icons go missing when they have been misslayed by the installer. normaly the app isnt 100 percent compatable with win 7, more a vista port. normaly a newer version will fix this minor bug. * +
