tried everything.. updating drivers, scanning for viruses, provider said that everything up to the modem working as it should, checked all the cable connections. is there any prog that i can check with what may be wrong? * +

Have you done a defrag?if not use defraggLer, Use ccleaner aswell might help to speed it up a bit * +

First what type of connection do you have. Modem? Router? What's your bandwith otherwise your up and down speed? * +

Ok your using a modem. Is it one of those 3g modems? Your problem is its switching between 3g and hspda which causes a second lag. Try to get a good hspda signal. If its on border it will lag. You can make a batch file with a larger ping so it will stay on hspda *
