has anybody got one odf these cards , been offered one real cheap ( 80 ) and wanted to know how it compares to my gtx260 . all reviews online are with old drivers . i no the latest drivers give much better performance . * +

Its not faster overall, but thats because it has a choked memory bandwidth so on tough games and high resolutions it often chokes. ITs definitely not better for 1920 x 1080 etc * +

thats what i though . but a few forums i have been on say with new drivers its near gtx275 performance . * +

i have seen an overclocked 5770 on 10.2 drivers which are onyl about two months old, its still slower than a stock 4870 for the most part. Its relatively close but the key game i see as always is crysis and it eats bandwidth, shows up the 5770 cos it crumbles against the 4870 like no other test. * +

i still rank the 5770 between the 4850/5750 and a 4870, closer ot the 4870 though. thus pretty close to a GTX260 but not what i would say faster *
