problem with phenom II is its still a whole generation behind intel they hay well have a 6 core but its slow in comparison to the intel of the same ghz rating. its a cheap solution for thaoughs that may need a multicore cpu such as servers but genral day to day gamers and media users wont see any benafit or use from it. * +

the more cores the architecture scales too the bigger the gap will likely be between intel and AMD right now. per clock per core speed differences are going to be multiplied of course by the amount of cores.... *
