why is it that when im running a defrag it only gets to certain percentage completion and then says 'drive contents changed, restarting' ? This goes on and on and on! * +

Some files need to be done offline because its locked. Go to filehippo.com and download defragler. Its from same guys who made CCleaner and its freeware. * +

there all good options but i prefer ultimate defrag. as for the drive contents changed that does sound like a problem. il have a look round and see what i can find. * +

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/186978 basicaly you have a program running in the backround like an av or screen saver which may be changing data on the drive. if you have the net then follow the steps in the link to get a work around. * +
