I've got a 500 gig hard drive running windows xp.I took it out,put another 500 gig hard drive in and loaded windows on to it.The second drive is the slave and the first is the master. When i put my pc on,is there anyway i can select which hard drive to boot up and use? * +

OS choice menu should be loaded before windows. Try to load your BIOS and chack the boot menu. What model is your motherboard? * +

What i pointout is that u hav instaled windows as a seperate boot menu on both hardisk ,so configuring boot as a seperately does not give u interface 2 choose OS, but u can use third party boot manager even grafical ,2 do ur required job. * +

Acronic disk director suite hav a feature OS selector which not only give u d option 2 choose OS but a little grafical interface wid an option of mouse cursor 2 manage d other boot config options of different OS in d main window during d start of booting any OS. * +

Just press f8 and select your drive. But if both is bootable with windows on then you should see a os choice menu * +
