put in onto the cpu and fix to mobo. What do you do? Put on a pair of tights on your head, run about juggling your pc, jump through a ring of fire, squ*rt some thermal paste and sandwich together? * +

Nope, usually I put some on bald kn*bheads and spread it out evenly. Jokes aside, some folk make a thin line in the center and spread it, some just press down the heatsink instead of manually spreading it. * +

Some use a rice grain amount etc. I just wanted to see what generally works best. Im sorry that u didn't get that absolut. * +

i sqirt a blob in the center of the cpu, place the hsf, press down and rotate left and right lift off and check the spread and replace and repeat if all is well fasten it down. *
