Extraction 4rm d iso image is not d same thing that v normaly presume but generates diferent results which is why v r not aware of bootable image from iso. * +

Salam wanted 2 use a grafical interface during boot so he instaled acronis disk director in xp nd then over it he instal ubuntu . u can asume acronis as a third party boot manager , so he surely see xp not ubuntu during boot , if * +

Boot config , is properly configured , nd 4rm d above post as i encoded 4rm ur pm query what i may observe is that u canot boot xp as grub wil replace d boot config of win if u manualy config as (hd0 , 0) as a seperate boot partion , u should also see grub manual as counting procedure is diferent here. * +

Now u got it ,hd0 means first hardisk nd second 0 point 2 first partition , but any how u atempt a try 2 manualy config d boot but on d second point u mess up a litle bit nd it is replaced by grub. *
