full HD suggests a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. HD ready means that it supports at least 1280 x 720 resolution. 720p is the bottom res to be called HD, 1080p is the top of the HD specifications for most HDTVs. * +

they are diffrent resolutions . full hd has better picture if playing hd content , could bore you to death with resolution pixel numbers blah blah like some others would but thats all you really need to know . hd is better than hd ready , better picture , nuff said * +

an entry level HDTV will be 720p, and not be able to display any resolution higher even though bluray, ps3 etc can. 1080p means that the maximum resolution of bluray can be displayed by a HDTV, its reserved for higher end sets usually although the price difference between them is narrowing * +

no tv is sold as full hd . not that ive seen anyway . just defined by pixels and screen size . a hd ready tv is just that hd ready it needs a hd source * +

a lott of 720p hd ready tv's are now advertised as having 1080p input . this is to confuse people into buying a sub standard tv. a friend of mine thought hes tv was 1080p becuase it acepted a 1080p input from his xbox . * +
