Personally i dualboot Windows 7 and Ubuntu. Just in case something happens that corrupts my Win 7 install, I can still boot into Ubuntu and still be able to use my pc and back up my data.. Some people also dual boot Xp and 7, so they can still run older programs that won't run in 7.. *
