i noticed that the computers i use were installed with kaspersky 6. i dont get the logic of that if the latest kav is kav2010. can one stil use kav 6 today and having their databases upto date still be protected from virus just like in kav 2010? second question is can i minimize somehow the usage that kis or kav uses on my pc. i got an old pc i admit and only 1gb ram running windows7 but are there * +

steps i can take to minimize the effects it has on my system especially when playing video files. how does one update the database of kis or kav 2010 without internet access. i want some kind of offline file that i can update manually. * +

Kis 6 lacks additional features. As for minimizing usage ,u can turn off stuff u don't want like im scanner or mail scanner. Updates r available in offline format at kaspersky's site * +

awww... so i dont think i'll be able to accomplish what i wanted to do. and that is update my kis 2010 with the files automatically updating kis 6. dindt even knw kis 6 might be too old to run in windows 7. but atleast i now have an idea of what to try out. have seen that part to get updates offline but it has to be from a pc with kis. * +
